Aquatic Park Beach, San Francisco California
Aquatic Park was built in 1939, and is located directly in front of the National Maritime Museum which once served as a public bathing club. This beach is located between Hyde Street Pier and Fort Mason and across from Ghirardelli Square with easy access to the cable cars at the National Historic park locted right behind the park. Within walking distance is Hyde St Pier which is home ofr about 6 historic vessels on the National Register of Historicl Places. This beach is has lots of parking in the area but be sure and get here early since it is in a very popular area of San Francisco. It is a great place to swim or wade, play beach vollyball, take your pets for a walk or even just to sunbath.
